Why?
New laws on companies will be voted on in Parliament this month.
This is the biggest shake up of company law for 150 years and is our chance to make UK business fit for the 21st century. We want laws to ensure UK companies respect the rights of people and the planet, not just deliver profits for shareholders. This is a real opportunity for the UK Government to act on its promises to make poverty history.

Right Corporate Wrongs Helpdesk
The Trade Justice Movement, in collaboration with the Corporate Responsibility Coalition (CORE), has launched a helpdesk to provide you with even more support when planning a face-to-face meeting to lobby your MP on the Companies Bill.
The helpdesk offers advice on your MP's position on the Bill and provide tips and pointers on what to say to different MPs depending on their position so that your lobbying has the greatest effect.
The service has already been used to lobby over 25 MPs and is a quick and easy way to ensure that you present the best arguments and the latest information when lobbying your local MP.

When?
Please meet with your MP locally to discuss the issue before 19 October,
or join an event that is already taking place. Hundreds of meetings have
already been held across the country. Convince your MP to take action
for trade justice.
